The Path to Earning Money Online

Tags: , , ,

If this is your first foray into making money online then good for you for making the decision and taking these next steps:
- register your web site domain name
- arrange for your web site hosting
- decide how you will create your web site

Let me explain these steps a little bit. Your domain name is the name of your small business online, an example would be my domain that your are visiting right now, DatingB2B.com. You register your domain name for as little as $8 a year and you pay again every year to maintain your registration.
Your web site is not only a place on the Internet but it’s also a place on a computer somewhere that is open to the public so people can visit your web site. You pay for this place by reserving space offered by a web site hosting company. This can cost as little as $5 a month, on average, but services and prices vary wildly. My recommendations are available for you to read on another page.
Finally you will need to decide how you will put your words into computer bytes, that is, how you will design your web site. I don’t recommend going out and spending money on a designer or fancy add-ons that will increase your starting costs. I do recommend starting with WordPress blogging software to get your first web site started. It’s good, free software that most web site hosting companies can offer easy, free, installation and you can have your first web site ready to go in a couple of hours and for less than an initial cost of $60.00 for your first year of business. If anyone tells you different just have them shoot me an email. Keep in mind I’m not going to debate the different costs and options available yet.
Following these three initial steps gets you your first web site online quickly and, realistically, you could be earning money in the next 60 days.
